On April 3, 2020, the FDA issued EUA(Emergency Use Authorization) of KN95 respirators which are equivalent to N95 according to Chinese standards. After numerous incidents of faulty, low quality KN95 were reported, CDC began testing KN95 masks from different manufacturers for their filter efficiency. On May 7, 2020, FDA removed EUA from most KN95 manufacturers citing poor quality.
For KN95 masks to be on the EUA list, they must meet a minimum and maximum filtration efficiency greater than or equal to 95 percent.
Vias International offers authentic, EUA listed KN95 masks that are proven to be effective based on test results from accredited independent labs and public institutions. They are also FDA(US) registered and CE(EU) certified.
